How to become a member

Elmira District Rod & Gun Club prides itself on being not just a shooting range, but a club for firearms and archery enthusiasts. We competitive club dues, comparable to most of southern Ontario, while offering some of the best and most diverse facilities. In order to become a full member of the Elmira District Rod & Gun Club you will be required to complete our application process.

• 1 Attend a club's monthly Members meeting with your sponsor. Submit your application to the Director of Membership prior to the beginning of the meeting. At this meeting you will indicate your desire to apply to the club's members. A non-refundable application fee is due at this time.
• 2 Volunteer at two club events.
• 3 Complete two competency assessment shoots supervised by an Executive of the club.
• 4 Provide a standard Police background check to the Executive of the club.
• 5 Once the previous steps are completed, attend a second monthly Member's meeting. At this meeting a vote will be held to admit you as a new member. If successful, your membership fee is due at this time.
• 6 After you are voted in as a member you must attend a club range orientation.

Applicants have a maximum of 12 months from the time you apply to complete the application requirements and attend the second Member's meeting for a vote on your membership. If you don't complete it in the 12 months you will lose your position and must reapply if you still wish to become a member. Dedicated applicants can complete the process in a few months.

The Elmira & District Rod and Gun Club is run by its membership and relies on all members volunteering and participating in order for the club to continue to be available and successful.
